About

Who writes this index, what it covers, and what it deliberately leaves out.

What this is

Hotel Casino Premier is a small editorial index of hotels, organised into four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each entry is a written description of a real property — its setting, its building, its rooms and what a stay there involves in practice.

We are not a booking service, a comparison engine or an affiliate directory. Nothing here can be reserved, and no entry has been paid for. The site exists because these four categories are interesting for different reasons, and because most writing about them is either promotional or reduced to a score out of ten.

How entries are written

Every description is prose, written for the property rather than assembled from a template. We describe general, durable characteristics — where a building stands, what it was before, how the accommodation is arranged, what surrounds it. We avoid anything that changes week to week, anything that would need a footnote, and anything we cannot describe in ordinary language.

The short fact-tags beneath each entry are shorthand for what the prose already says. They are not specifications and are not intended to be compared across properties.

On the casino category

Casino hotels are covered here as hotels. A gaming floor is one feature of a large hospitality building, alongside guest rooms, restaurants, theatres and meeting space, and that is the proportion the writing reflects. We do not publish gaming content, promotions or any encouragement to gamble.

What you will not find

  • Star ratings, scores or rankings of any kind.
  • Guest reviews, real or otherwise.
  • Prices, availability or booking links.
  • Sponsored placements or paid inclusion.

Geography

The index is geo-neutral. Properties are chosen for what they are, not for where the reader is, and the four categories draw from Europe, Asia and North America.
